ETA Bird

How the date gets worked out.

Every product page runs the same four checks, in your shop’s time zone, right in the shopper’s browser.

  1. Check 1

    Find the right rule

ETA Bird checks for a product rule first, then a collection rule, then your store-wide default. At each level, a rule for the shopper’s country wins over an all-countries rule.

  2. Check 2

    Start from today, or tomorrow

If the order is placed before your cutoff on a working day, processing starts today. Otherwise it starts on the next working day.

  3. Check 3

    Count working days

Processing days are added first, then the minimum and maximum delivery days. Your days off are skipped.

  4. Check 4

    Write it out

The dates go into your message in the date style you picked. Before the cutoff, the countdown line can show the time left.

An example

1 processing day, 2 to 4 delivery days, weekends off, cutoff at 2pm. A shopper orders on Wednesday at 11am: processing starts that day and the order ships Thursday. Delivery lands between Monday and Wednesday, because Saturday and Sunday are skipped.
